Display number types on charts

We can set SUM, MIN, MAX, AVG, LATEST, and COUNT Aggregations to values displayed on charts.
However, it's not immediately clear to people viewing the numbers what it represents. I have to give tutorials to every new viewer of Databoards.
It would be nice if that was also outlined on Datablocks, e.g. like a light small font next to or under the number.

Hi Rusty,

I have an update and some recommendations from our team regarding your improvement request.

With Custom Date Range (CDR) implementation ability to set up Aggregation under Datablock's Advanced Settings has been removed. On Data Sources where CDR has been already implemented (see the list here: help.databox.com/article/449-overview-custom-date-ranges#which-data) you are no longer able to set Aggregations.

With CDR the Aggregation setting is moving to a Metric level, meaning the displayed metric value will be automatically the same regardless of the place used within Databox account (e.g. on Datablock, Scorecard, etc.).

Since also adding info about Aggregation might have an impact of readableness of the Dataobards, we recommend using available options in Databox to explain what metric is reporting on:
- Naming Datablock what selected metric is reporting on (e.g. Total Page Followers, Avg. Time on Page, etc.)
- Give Custom and Calculated Metrics explanatory names (e.g. Total Number of Calls, Average Time to Close Deal, etc.)
- Use Annotations for additional metric explanation on Visualization Types that supports it (help.databox.com/article/152-overview-annotations). You can also upvote to support Annotations on all visualizations here: roadmap.databox.com/b/product-features/improvements-to-annotations-adding-to-all-visualizations-multiple-metrics-global-annotation.
- Use Text visualization if needed, to better explain your story (help.databox.com/article/245-overview-visualization-types#text)
