Support Markdown links in text visualization

It would be nice if the text visualization would support Markdown links. For example [My Link](mylink.com). Many links are very long and unsightly, requiring the use of a url shortener such as bit.ly to not flood the entire space of a text visualization. The only other workaround I am aware of is to use an image visualization (supply the desired link with "Open on click"), which is useful, but also limiting.
