Ability to set up Custom Date Range on Goals

alexander Hersbøll

Being able to pick the period for goal completion within the duration of a chosen campaign or through a custom date modifier. At the moment, you can only pick a standard time period for completion, e.g. weekly, monthly and yearly.

Currently there isn't a way to link a goal to a custom date range. For instance, we have a ticket sales that have a finite time they are on sale. We would like the custom date range to measure the total sales up to the day, but there is no way to set a goal for that range.

The customer needs to be able to set up non-fixed or custom date ranges for goals e.g. Last 30 days.

I would like to be able to compare actual performance with Goals regardless of the Date Range settings.

I want to be able to set up Custom Date Ranges for Goals.
I need this to visualize data on the Progress Bar.

Hi Juan,

Thanks for reaching out.

Currently, you can set a Goal and set a Progress Bar visualization on a Databoard with selected Metric, to which you can apply the set Goal.

Would that work for you?

This feature would be very important for us and our customers, as it'd give us a huge benefit in analyzing our ''real-time'' data!

I really need this feature.
It would be nice to have the ability to select predetermined Q1, Q2, Q3 and Q4 Date Ranges according to your Fiscal Year, and then have Goals measured against those time periods.
Right now, all we have is This Quarter, Next Quarter and Last Quarter, which is highly dysfunctional to those needing static quarters with quarterly goals.

Hi Don,

Thank you for sharing your feedback.

If Fiscal Calendar is applied to your account, the comparison period should be automatically adjusted. Is this not the case on your end?
Additionally, you are able to set individual (quarterly) values for the current, past and future periods (see an example screenshots) or read more here: help.databox.com/article/91-overview-goals#use - point D.

Does this help?

That will not solve the issue.
Yes, we already have our Fiscal Calendar setup in Databox, however ''This Quarter'' or ''Next Quarter'' or ''This Year'' can be anything, depending on what the current date is. And there would be no way to report on e.g. Q3. We are looking for Quarterly Goals being applied to the ''static custom Date Ranges'', to display static quarterly performance for sales reps measured against their quarterly goals.

For clients that operate on non-traditional quarters, it would be great if we could set goals with Custom Date Ranges so our progress graphs could populate correctly.

For example, one of our clients operates on a Q3 from August-October, but our goal data will not populate (see screenshot) because it is trying to compare a normal July-September quarter to a Custom Date Range in Google Analytics.

Hey Heather,

We could set up different "Fiscal Calendars", that would fit your quarterly definition. Read more about this feature here: help.databox.com/article/524-overview-fiscal-calendars.
This way you could set up quarterly Goals for August-October, for example.
