Hey there,

I hope you are already trying out our Excel integration and being creative with building your reports with Excel data :).

As you may notice, Excel is currently available to connect via Dropbox, OneDrive, or Google Drive.
We are interested to know if there are any other storage providers that you are using and if by adding them to the integration in the future would simplify creating your reports with Excel data in Databox.
If yes, please share storage providers where you keep your Excel files by replying to this comment.

Hi all,

We're excited to announce that the beta version of the Excel integration is now live in Databox!

Ability to connect and use the Excel integration is available on the Professional and Performer plans. If your plan does not support connecting Excel to Databox, please start a free trial of the Professional plan by following these steps (help.databox.com/article/319-how-to-start-a-trial-of-paid-plans).

Once you have Excel connected, you can start creating your Custom Metrics and preparing Excel dashboards. We've also implemented a wizard that can help you build metrics from your Excel data!

Being able to integrate with Excel Online would be a huge help to organizations that use Microsoft 365 rather than Google.

For now, you can import Excel's data to Google Sheets and report on its data via our Google Sheets integration.

Thank you for your reply.

I have already used the Google Sheets integration in the way you suggested.
For organizations that use Office 365 instead of Google, creating a free Google account isn't particularly scalable. We prefer to leverage the tools we have, rather than creating duplicate accounts that serve as workarounds.
It's fine for us to use Google Sheets in limited situations, but certainly in my opinion doesn't replace our long-term interest in having an Office 365 integration.

Thank you for sharing your experience and feedback.
It makes sense that it's not practical having duplicated accounts as a workaround and maintain both. It only serves as a temporary solution, until our team build this integration. However, we don't have any ETA regarding this integration at the moment. As soon as there will be any updates, we will share it in this post.
