Ability to create queries in order to group data by using filter 'containing' to show e.g. Impressions and Clicks for a Keyword category.
As opposed to having manually include every Keyword you want in the category, which is impossible with all the variances and fluctuation of search queries.

This Metric Builder would also allow filtering by Pages, etc.

Hey all!

We have released a new Metric Builder for Google Search Console that will allow you to dig deeper into your Google Search Console data by using an additional layer of filtering by Search Type results (e.g., News Search results, Video Search results, etc.).

To start building Google Search Console Custom Metrics, navigate to Metrics > Custom Metrics, click the green '+ New Custom Metric' button and select your connected Google Search Console Account from the Data Source drop-down list.

Note:
Metric Builder is available on the Performer and Professional plans. You can request a trial of Metric Builder by following these steps: help.databox.com/article/319-how-to-start-a-trial-of-paid-plans.

Here are some resources to help you get started:
- Guide: Using Google Search Console with Databox: help.databox.com/article/409-guide-using-google-search-console-with-databox
- Overview: Metric Builder for Google Search Console: help.databox.com/article/542-overview-query-builder-for-google-search-console

As you explore the new Metric Builders and start building Google Search Console Custom Metrics, we'd love to hear your feedback. Specifically:
1. Are there any additional Google Search Console Metrics/Dimensions that you'd like to report on in Databox?
2. Are there any other filtering options you would like to utilize in Metric Builder to cover your use case better?
3. Is there any other feedback/improvement idea that you'd like to share regarding the released Metric Builder for Google Search Console?

We'll use your feedback to improve this feature further.

Please reply directly via this comment thread with your responses and any follow-up questions.

Thanks!

Hi all,

Thanks for expressing interest in a Metric Builder for Google Search Console, so you can dig deeper into your website data.

We're actively scoping out this new feature and are looking for some additional feedback from users like you. Below, we've outlined some key capabilities and considerations to note for the new Metric Builder.

1. You'll be able to filter existing metrics to get deeper visibility into your data. This will allow you to analyze Clicks for a certain group of pages, or Impressions by Country for a specific device.
You can view all available metrics in the Metrics Library here: app.databox.com/metrics/library/GoogleSearchConsole.

2. We've added additional Dimensions to the Metric Builder including Keyword, Search Appearance, and Search Type.
Due to API limitations, we are not able to add Coverage Report metrics to this Metric Builder or integration.

3. You can combine multiple filters using AND boolean logic.
OR boolean logic is currently not possible.

4. The following filter operations will be available: "Contains," "Does not contain," "Equals," and "Does not equal."
We are not able to add other operators like "Greater than" or "Less than" at this time.

In order to help ensure the new Metric Builder meets your data needs, please respond to the questions below with more info on your use case:
1. Are there any additional Google Search Console Metrics/Dimensions that you'd like to report on in Databox?
2. Are there any other filtering options that would like to utilize in Metric Builder to better cover your use case?
3. Is there any other feedback/improvement idea that you'd like to share in regard to the upcoming Metric Builder for Google Search Console?

We'll use your feedback as we continue working on this feature.

Please reply directly via this comment thread with your responses and any follow-up questions.

Thanks!
