Ability to set Custom Date Ranges to fixed start date along with rolling

Avatar
Diana Radjabaeva

Currently, we have an option to set rolling Custom Date Range.

It'd be great having an option to set a fixed start date and rolling up to the latest current date.
For example: 12th of February 2020 - accumulated current date

In Google Play reporting, you cannot use "all time" as a setting to reporting install data. So a valid start time that contains data needs to be defined. As we can't currently set a static start date with a rolling end date, "all time install" data is impossible to report without manually rolling the date range. Very important feature here.

This is really necessary for us to have.

This would help us so much with not having to manually keep resetting our time window every time we need to reference data from Google Analytics 4 (GA4) where we were only able to start collecting data recently, but need to report on YOY data. Thank you for your consideration of this one!

Yes, much needed for any year over year calculations, like company growth rate.

Merged with: CDR: ''All Time'' Date Range + rolling Today

In the attached screenshot, our cumulated sales numbers are shown from the first ever sale in May 2018 until the most recent sale today.

Currently, I had to set the Custom Date Range 1.1.2018 - 1.7.2022 (rolling), to make sure all historical sales data are included in the cumulative numbers.
In 5 months from now, the custom time range will have reached the day of our first sale ever, i.e. early May 2018, and I will have to adjust the current setting.

This workaround of using a Custom Date Range with the rolling option would no longer be necessary as soon as the proposed CDR ''All Time'' Date Range + rolling Today will be available.

May I have your votes, please? Thank you very much!

We currently do not have an option to have the second metric dynamically adjust to -3 months to the first metric. You could set the Datablock to calculate March/December, or February/November, but once you change the Date Range of the Datablock/Databoard, or you want the Databoard to recalculate automatically April/January for next month, it will not work.

Discussed with the Databox Support team already.
I'm looking for a way to make a calculation with 2 metrics, rolling...

It's a key feature for us.
Most of our client reports have a fixed start date and rolling end date. Not having this feature makes it really difficult to use Databox for our clients.

We need a Data Range option to fix a start date (e.g. the launch date of a campaign) to a range till today, in order to have Databoards covering the whole campaign date range.

Hi Umer,

Thanks for your feedback.

Can you please elaborate further your request ''I also want the reverse of that''?

I have a Databoard where I display data for the total memberships we have sold.
I would like the Databoard to display data from a specific date till "today" (and the today being the current day when people open the Databoard). So, the start date (for example March 1st) would be fixed and will not change. At the moment, I get around this by using the rolling Custom Date Range option, but every month I need to update the selected start date. Would be really great to be able to set this up as needed, forget about it and focus on other things.
Thanks!
