Add an option to each column on an Advanced Table to select how to aggregate data on the Total Row.

Currently, you can select Total row to show SUM, AVG, MIN or MAX - across all metrics (columns) in the table.

It'd be better having the ability to set the Total row per individual metric used in the table (columns).
The alternative solution to get the Average total value is by creating a Calculated Metric and use it on other visualization type, not on the Advanced Table.

Use case:
User has an Advanced Table with multiple metrics. One of the metric values are in percentages (e.g. Contact Rate metric).
While the Total row is correctly showing the SUM per individual metrics in the table, the ''Contact Rate'' metric is also showing a SUM of percentage values where the logic would be to show an Average of percentage metric values.

Good news! The functionality to select an independent aggregation function for each column is live. You can read more about it here: databox.com/new-visualizations-and-powerful-charts-2

Hi I see this request is in progress.
Question is this an improvement where each column can be assigned their own total type e.g. SUM, AVG, MAX, MIN?

Will this also include a 'dynamic' set up, where the total can be turned off per column or replaced with (advanced) calculation?

Example:
On an advanced table with ad performance.
Columns representing;
A= the investments $ value (Ex: campaign cost);
B = outcome metric (Ex: count of installs);
C= ROI / ROAS (Ex: cost per install).

The total row option is great for Column A & B to read the total overall Costs & the total overall Outcome (total installs).

However, within the last column (C) the calculation of a SUM or AVG of the rows within column (C) (vertical calculation) makes less to no sense. As this column total represent a ROI / ROAS (cost per install) it needs to be calculated between the totals of column A & B not by the sum or avg of column C itself.

Ideally, the total row can be turned off for this column, or can be populated with a calculated metric to get a value that makes sense.
See attached screenshot for reference, the orange values are what we would see in Databox when using the total row as off now, which are ''incorrect'' values for metrics like those in last column.
Green is the desired values for this particular total.

Hi Martijn,

Thanks for reaching out about this.

It will not be possible to “calculate” the total column value from the other total values. However, users will be able to set different aggregation options for each column or to choose not showing the total values for certain columns within table.

The user would like to have both SUM and AVG option in 1 table per columns.

User would like to have total row different for each column in an advanced table.

User wants to be able to pick/choose or customize which Total Type, ranging for SUM, AVERAGE, MAX or MIN, applies to which column of the table.

Upvoting this request.

If a combination of metrics are displayed (% and $ and #), the Total row option should be selectable per column level (SUM, AVG, MIN or MAX).

Additionally, allow the option to choose if the Total row is on TOP or bottom of the table.

This would be highly appreciated!
